Arts Integration, Creative Drama, and Movement is the focus area for the Elementary/Lower Middle Theatre sessions. The Upper Middle/Secondary Theatre sessions explore various theatre interest areas. Visual Art Core SessionsThe Tennessee Arts Academy Visual Art division explores art from the perspective of production, history, criticism, and aesthetics. Nationally recognized instructors, whose work has influenced current educational practice and theory, are gathered from around the country to provide stimulating and practical instruction. The class sessions reflect a mix of skills-based training, coupled with current trends and the latest research in art education.

Arts Leadership and Administration Core SessionsThe Academy’s Arts Leadership and Administration division (ALAA) aims to inspire and empower participants to support and advance arts education. ALAA connects teachers, school and district leaders, program directors, and others who are interested in active arts education leadership. Practical and thought-provoking daily sessions link contemporary arts research and trends to targeted arts initiatives at multiple levels within schools, districts, and beyond. Numerous interactive discussions with state and national leaders are also part of the innovative curriculum.

Trio Track Core SessionsTrio Track is a unique division of the Academy that provides participants with a daily multidisciplinary experience in three distinct arts areas. Trio Track participants attend a pre-designated class daily in music and theatre. Additionally, Trio Track participants will attend a minimum of one VisualArt Interlude each afternoon. The experience allows the participants to enjoy complete immersion in one topic for each arts discipline each day. Please Note:Upper Middle/Secondary Trio Track participants will attend two of the classes listed below each day according to their group designation.
